Some people have been wondering how to pronounce Filo’s name, so let me clarify. It’s pronounced with a long “i” sound–it rhymes with “Milo,” “Shiloh,” and “grain silo.”

(Fun fact: I first heard the name when I was in third grade, and we were learning about Philo T. Farnsworth, the inventor of the television. I fell in love with the name, and I filed it away in my mind, finally using it when it came time to name our own Filo Shine. I dropped the “P-H” because I didn’t like the way it looked.)
